Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
This policy covers the website for the YouTube channel "Why The World Looks Like This" and Why World Tools, the internal application the channel owner uses with the YouTube API Services.
YouTube API Services
Why World Tools uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What data the application accesses
- Videos, playlists and metadata of the channel owner's own YouTube channel, to upload and schedule videos.
- Public comments posted on the channel's own videos (including commenters' public display names), to read and reply to them.
- Aggregated analytics of the channel's own videos (views, watch time, subscribers), to measure performance.
How the data is used, stored and shared
Data is used only to operate and improve the channel. It is stored on the channel owner's computer, is not sold, and is not shared with third parties. Comment data is kept only as long as needed to reply and is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days. OAuth tokens are stored locally and are never shared.
The website itself does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and does not collect personal information.
Revoking access
Access granted to Why World Tools can be revoked at any time from the Google security settings page. To request deletion of any stored data, contact us at the address below.
